Newsletter 3rd November 2021

November General Meeting

Our next general meeting will be held on Sunday the 28th November in the Macquarie Room on the second floor commencing at 11.30am.

Following on from the general meeting the members Christmas Luncheon for members and partners will commence at 12.30pm in the Hornseywood room.

To attend the luncheon members must register their intentions with the sub-Branch by no later than Wednesday 17th November for catering purposes.

The October General meeting was an outstanding success given that it was the first members meeting in five months and our first meeting via Zoom. We would like to thank those members that contributed to the meeting via Zoon, we understand that there were some issues that we are working on rectifying for future meetings.

The presentation on the “Strategic Plan” by Jonathon Black was well received, questions were taken from the chair and floor and responded to by Jonathon, those questions that were unable to be answered were taken away for follow up. Jonathon has since advised the sub-Branch that we will be receiving his answers soon.

Remembrance Day 2021

Planning for a restricted Remembrance Day 2021 ceremony is well underway. We have the capacity to seat fifty in the Memory Park area, if you are planning on attending your attendance must be registered by the sub-Branch no later than Monday 8th Nov at 12 Noon.

Following on from the ceremony there will be a light luncheon served in the Macquarie room.

The contingency plan for inclement weather is that the service will be moved to the Hornseywood room where a wreath laying ceremony will be conducted.
